                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TEMPORARY
                   CLOSURE OF VARIOUS STREETS IN THE DOWNTOWN,
                   RIVERFRONT PARKWAY, RIVERSIDE DRIVE, AND
                   AMNICOLA HIGHWAY AREAS MORE PARTICULARLY
                   DESCRIBED HEREIN ON SUNDAY, MAY 3, 1992 FOR
                   THE PRESENTATION OF THE "MS BIKE-A-THON"
                   SPONSORED BY THE MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS SOCIETY
                   UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS.
                  
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby authorized 
the
       temporary closing of M. L. King Boulevard between Georgia Avenue
       and Market Street, the southbound curblane of Market Street
       between 10th Street and 20th Street, the westbound curblane of
       20th Street between Market Street and Riverside Drive, the
       westbound, northbound and eastbound traffic lanes closed to the
       north, east and south curb of Riverfront Parkway-Riverside Drive- 

       Amnicola Highway between 20th Street and South Creek Road (west
       leg), the westbound, southbound, and eastbound traffic lane
       closest to the north, west, and south curb of Amnicola Highway-
       Riverside Drive-Riverfront Parkway between South Creek Road (east 

       leg) and 20th Street, the eastbound curblane of 20th Street
       between Riverside Drive and Market Street, the northbound 
curblane
       of Market Street between 20th Street and 10th Street, and South
       Creek Road between Amnicola Highway and Amnicola Highway on
       Sunday, May 3, 1992 from 5:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon for the
       presentation of the "MS Bike-A-Thon" under the sponsorship of the 

       Multiple Sclerosis Society provided that the sponsor shall set 
out
       barricades, traffic cones, and other traffic signs along the 
route
       in accordance with the traffic control plan attached hereto, and
       shall provide, at all times, an access lane for fire and other
       emergency vehicles.
